NEFTEKHIMIK 3-2 (SO) SIBIR 8/11/2021

Neftekhimik got a win over Sibir (3-2 SO).

Our team played well in the first period.

Both teams showed a solid hockey after first intermission. In the second period, our team scored one goal. Marat Khairullin scored first goal on the power play. Unfortunately, Sibir tied the game. Also, Timur Sharifyanov fearlessly blocked the shot in our D-zone.

Sibir and Neftekhimik had good goal-scoring chances. In the third period, our team had a good chance to get a lead on the power play. Unfortunately, Bulat Shafigullin missed the wide open net. Sibir took a lead at the last 10 minutes of the third. Fortunately, Marat Khairullin scored his second goal and made it 2-2.

After OT, our team scored two out of five attempts in SO and got a first win at the tournament.
