Neftekhimik Hockey School included in TOP 10 Best Hockey Schools of Russia

The Kontinental Hockey League has published a ranking of hockey schools based on the results of the 2022/2023 season. Neftekhimik Hockey School got 60.11 points (7th place) out of the 50 best hockey schools in the country.

Players who are playing in the KHL provided information about their Hockey Schools and Coaches. The individual achievements of the players were also taken into account – (+/-) rating,  games played in the KHL, international games and others.

«We are glad that the results of our work were so highly appreciated, and we are really proud of our graduates and current players.» – said Ildar Nugmanov, director of the Neftekhimik Hockey School. «Every year several of the strongest players join the JHL, after that, some join the VHL and KHL teams.»

Focus on results – this is the secret of the success of our school. Almost all teams last season made it to the top eight in the Volga Federal District. Only two teams took 10th place, taking into account the high level of competition, this is a good result.

«Nizhnekamsk is not such a big city to strictly select players for teams, so everyone gets a chance to play. The goal for our guys playing in the Volga Federal District Championship is to be, first of all, in the top 6. Thus, they play against strongest opponents, get experience and improve their skills.» – said Ildar Nugmanov.

Our respected coaches are also in the TOP 100 – Oleg Yashin (Players: Damir Sharipzyanov and Rafael Bikmullin players), Boris Shamarin and the former Neftekhimik coach Dmitry Komissarenko (Players: Maxim Berezin, Andrei Sergeyev and Ansel Galimov).

Young players can write their name in the history of hockey by join Neftekhimik Hockey School – Children born in 2017, 2018 and 2019 can join Neftekhimik Hockey School.
