Recent game in Nizhnekamsk

The game held on September 13 at the Neftekhim Arena was a hard-fought contest that ended in a 2–1 victory for the home team. Admiral opened the scoring just four minutes into the game, with former Neftekhimik player Anthony Camara finding the net. However, Damir Zhafyarov equalized on a power play in the second period, and in the 47th minute, Yevgeny Mityakin scored the game-winning goal off an assist from Vladislav Eremenko.

Admiral: Major rebuilding and the search for stability
The Vladivostok club underwent one of the most radical roster overhauls in the league; experts estimate that more than half the team is new. Head coach Oleg Bratash, who took charge in January 2026, inherited a virtually new squad that has yet to build chemistry.

Dmitry Mukhtarov (forward) – a 20-year-old talent from the MHL and the top goal scorer for Krylya Sovetov last season (24 goals in 59 games).
Grigory Vashchenko (defenseman) – an experienced defenseman from Severstal. Key departures: Nikita Tertyshny, Vladislav Kara, Vladimir Bryukvin, Ruslan Pedan, Adam Huska.

The team captain is Czech import Libor Sulak, Admiral stalwart leader for a sixth consecutive season.
Season start: Admiral got off to a rough start, suffering two straight losses to Ak Bars (0–2) and Dynamo Moscow (1–2 in a shootout). This was followed by a sensational away victory over CSKA (4–2) – the Sailors' first-ever road win against the Army Men in the history of the rivalry. However, after a loss in Nizhnekamsk, the team went on an inconsistent run: a loss to Dynamo (2–3), a win over Severstal (2–0), a shootout loss to CSKA (3–4), and a frustrating defeat by Lokomotiv (1–2), in which Semyon Ibragimov scored the lone goal – his first for Admiral. After eight games, the team has 6 points and sits fourth from the bottom in the Eastern Conference.

Head–to–head
The teams have played dozens of KHL games against each other, and the statistics heavily favor the Nizhnekamsk side. Neftekhimik has won five of the last seven games, including the game on September 13. However, Admiral feel more confident on home ice in Vladivostok; in March 2026, Admiral prevailed 7–3.
