– We came to Novosibirsk as the best team in the East. Did this intermediate start affect the team?
– I do not think so. Everyone understands, that it is just the start of the season. Everything changes quickly here. As usual, in our conference, everything will be decided in the last games. We have a good series. We lost today, but it is okay. We are preparing for the next game.
– We did not concede any goal against Lokomotiv as well as against Metallurg Mg.
– Firstly, the opponents are different. We started to adjust to this game a little, there were a couple of careless attacks on our net. We should not concede when we have a lead. We need to be a little more focused. We know our strengths, we can play aggressively from the moment, and we can play according to the score. We didn’t succeed today. With Lokomotiv… We understand that they are the leader of the championship, they put pressure on us the whole game. It is clear that they had more initiative. I think we didn't work as hard as we should have today. There were fewer hits today. I think we lost the fight for the puck. That's why today's result is like this.
– Can we say that mistakes were made from the first shift?
– Yes, there is some truth to that. It was an unfortunate coincidence. The defenseman got involved and did not have time to react. I ran into him with my back. From three on three it became two on one, and accordingly one on zero. Of course, it is terrible to concede at the beginning of the game. Then we took the lead, but the opponent started counterattacking. Then Sibir scored important goals.
