Neftekhimik forward Danila Kvartalnov speaks with the media after a following 0–2 loss against CSKA.
– It was, let's say, a very closed game. Both teams were probably afraid of making mistakes. We lacked a bit of sharpness and perhaps the creativity in attack to score a goal.
– Compared to previous games, there weren't many shots today. Why?
– Probably because our opponent plays very good defensively. So, maybe, we're lacking something. We need to be more clever in some areas. We need to work on that.
– In the last five games, we haven't scored more than two goals per game. What we need to do to score more?
– We often talk about it in the locker room; we haven't been scoring enough in recent games. We're trying to improve that situation and, in practice, we're trying to score more and transfer that to the game.
– Which part of the game was decisive one?
– I don't want to single out any specific moment, but I probably should have played better.
– We're heading to the Far East soon.
– It's going to be a tough trip to the Far East, everyone understands that. We need to recover well, balance our energy, and prepare for the upcoming game. It won't be easy, but generally speaking, it's never easy at the end of the season.
