Neftekhimik forward Evgeny Mityakin speaks with the media after a following 3–1 win over Sibir.
– It was a good game. We played tight defense, helped each other out. Yarik (Ozolin) kept us in the game, we helped him, everyone contributed to this victory.– In the first period, we had few shots on goal – only three. Why?
– I'll put it this way: the game was so tense, once again. Each team needs points, so it was so tense, there wasn't much space, which is why we had so few shots. But no matter, we still scored three goals. As the coach says, you need three goals to win.
– We have got all six points in our away series. How did we achieve that?
– We have a close-knit team, a good, friendly team. Every win gives us extra strength and confidence.
– In all three periods, Sibir was more attacking and had more shots. Are not we were able to neutralize it?
– The victory was achieved through dedicated play. We played smart in defense, as I already said, Yarik helped us, we helped each other, plus we converted our chances and scored good goals.
