Evgeny Mityakin: «We had plenty goal–scoring chances»

Neftekhimik forward Evgeny Mityakin speaks with the media after a following 0–3 loss agaisnt Lada.
– We had a bad start, we conceded a quick goal in the first minute. Of course, such a start was not part of our plans. After all, catching up is always more difficult. Throughout the game, we tried to tie the game up, we had plenty goal–scoring chances. In the third period, we put pressure on their net, unfortunately, we did not score.

– This was the third game against Lada. Was it different from the previous one, maybe the opponent surprised us with something?

– The difference from the previous game is that we lost. In principle, there are no easy opponents, all games are tough, everyone fights for the result. And Lada is no exception. They play well defensively.

– The game againsst Lada was the 1000th for Neftekhimik in the KHL. Was this event reflected in terms of motivation for the game?

– We have one motivation in every game – to win. Unfortunately, this does not always happen.
