Neftekhimik forward Grigory Seleznyov speaks with the media after a following 2–0 win over Spartak.
– It is qutie important win for us. I think we are all tired of losing. We've been going through a rough patch, and it's great to break it at home, in front of all the fans. There were so many of them today – close to the sold out. They were screaming and cheering all the time, which was really nice. Thank you very much, and I'm taking this opportunity to invite you to Sunday's game against Sibir. We need your support.– Compared to previous games, the pace was noticeably higher today. Why? Or did the opponent force us to play like that?
– We try to play our style of hockey – fast, with lots of shots. We played great defensively today and didn't concede any goals. Fill played great, that's why we won.
– We will play against Sibir. What do we need to do to succeed against a key rival in the fight for a playoff spot?
– We need to play the same way, our style of hockey, avoid mistakes in our own zone, shoot as much as possible, and get into the opponent's crease.
– It seemed that at the end of the game there was physical hockey. How can we avoid that?
– I don't know, we've had this kind of physical hockey all season – it's like we can't live without it. It's good that it all worked out in our favor this time.
