Igor Fyodorov: «I think that we definitely earned one point»

26.09.2025

Reaktor Head Coach Igor Fyodorov speaks with the media after a following 4–5 overtime loss against Krylya Sovetov.

– Let's be honest, our defensemen scored three goals in the first period. In the second and third periods, we managed to turn the game around: they blocked a lot and played well on the penalty kill. Of course, the guys deserve credit for that. But that doesn't change the fact that the first period was a disaster.

Additionally, several other factors contributed to the poor start. I won't go into detail; I discussed it with the guys in the locker room. The main thing is that they understand everything. I think we'll correct these mistakes soon."

How did you manage to come back and earn one point?
When you fight hard, catching the puck with every part of your body, the team starts to fire up. My hockey god sees everything! I think that we definitely earned one point.

Amir Gizyatov played his first game of the season after his injury. How would you rate his performance?"
Gizya (Gizyatov) is a great guy. He scored in his very first match after a serious injury. He's a guy with character, he was raring to go even at the start of the season. He had a good game, and he should keep improving. I only have one complaint about him – he got sent off for no apparent reason. But we talked, and he understood everything. I'm rating his return as "Good." We're waiting for it to be "Excellent."
