Neftekhimik Head Coach Igor Grishin speaks with the media after a following 2–4 loss against Lokomotiv.
– Those two conceded goals, just nine seconds apart – was that kind of knockout?– Yeah, you could say that. That is hockey. The first one was a lucky bounce, then the second came off a redirect and just found its way in. It happens.
– How would you rate the game?
– We knew the guys would not be 100% fresh for the first couple of games – that is just where we are in the training cycle. The first period was solid. Then those two quick shots compeltely changed things. Moreover, you have to give credit to the opponent – they played a smart game, and they are back–to‑back champions for a reason.
– Aside from the new guys, was this the best lineup? Petunin did not play – was that a coach's decision?
– He is not fully fit yet. He skated with the team today, but he was not ready for 100%.
