Ilnar Misbakhov: «It was going to be a good game»

29.01.2025

Reaktor Acting Head Coach Ilnar Misbakhov speaks with the media after a following 4–1 win over Loko–76.

– The team's attitude already made it clear that it was going to be a good game. We noted the importance of a strict game in the first period – to minimize mistakes, not to give in to the fight.

Our plan worked – and Ilyas Sirazetdinov also scored a beautiful goal right before the break. Well done, he took the game upon himself.

In the second period, we were not like ourselves – we gave the initiative to the opponent for long periods of time, and missed a goal-scoring counterattack.

But during the second break, we did not panic in the locker room. There was an inner confidence that we would play stronger in the third period. And so it turned out. All the goals were bright, spectacular. Makar Kurbatov, Nikolai Krivolapov, and Kirill Stolyarov acted in a sporty, impudent and assertive manner.

I liked that the team took the referees' decision not to count Igor Borodinov's goal as calmly as possible. And in the end, they quickly scored another goal.

Now we need to quickly put the victory out of our heads and prepare for a more serious fight tomorrow.
