– What do you think enabled the team to stage a comeback in the third period?– Great character! We battled hard and put our bodies on the line. The guys had a huge desire to win, and they pulled it off.
– Did the fact that the SKA Academy spent a lot of time shorthanded – especially late in the third period, was a key moment of the game?
– When the opponent takes a five-minute penalty, you have to capitalize on the opportunity. We had guys who stepped up and got the job done.
– What mistakes did the team address to step up their game after the second period?
– We had a few defensive lapses that led to 2-on-1 breaks – we even conceded a goal because of one – but we fixed that. We needed to score, and we did.
