Matt White: "It was not working for us. We should stay playing simple."

- "Neftekhimik" started well. You pressured them a lot and took a lead 2:1 in the first period. How did "Neftekhimik" get it?

- We know "Metallurg" is a fast team and good in counter attacks, our game plan was to get in their zone and try to work below the top of the circles. We did a great job for most of first period. There is a couple times we could do a better job. In overall, we did simple things and get a lead.

-You scored an amazing backhand goal. Did you practice it? Is it work often?

-I had a couple of chances in the first period. Shots did not go in. I tried to use my speed to catch a goalie by surprise, sometimes it is does work and that time I was lucky enough for it to work.

- What happened at 37 mark? Was the team relaxed?

- As I said before, we were doing simple things and in the second and in the third we had a different plan. It was not working for us, we should stay playing simple, and that was our fault. In those types of games we cannot let them back, especially when they have good offense, they showed it in the second period, with a good team like that you do not want to give them too many chances. We have a lot to learn from those types of games.

-Did the National Team Break affect your team? If it is right, in what way did it affect your team?

-I think is is good for everyone to get couple days of rest, we had good days of practices as well; we had our chances to win the game. If we won the game, we could say the break was good for us, if we lose the game, we could say the break was bad for us. Overall, I think it is good to get some rest, and guys can see their families, kids and enjoy some time off the rink. We want to win this game; we want to win all games. We have a lot to learn. We will have a back game next game.

- Both teams "Neftekhimik" and "Metallurg" are strong teams. "Neftekhimik" had 10 games winning-streak. Nevertheless, both teams are fighting to get into playoffs.

- I have not seen standings in a couple days. I think it is very tied with a lot of teams, not just "Metallurg" and "Neftekhimik", there is more teams which are very close. We want to win all our games, sometimes it does not happen and every point counts right now. We were very lucky enough to get one point because we did not play our best. I think next game with one day, we will have a good practice and will do our best for the next game.
