Matvei Zaseda: «The home team had a good power play»

31.01.2026

Neftekhimik forward matvei Zaseda speaks with the media after a following 1–6 loss against AK Bars.

– The home team had a good power play. They played a lot with the man advantage today. We didn't have that, and, overall, the outcome of the game was decided by the power play.

Neftekhimik took plenty of penalties. Wy?
We need to take a closer look and figure things out; maybe we're lacking discipline. We'll figure it out and move on.

The start of the game wasn't great. Why? Maybe the long break between games had an impact?
Yes, perhaps the long break had an impact. But we were prepared for this; we had to start playing well from the start and win today.

What conclusions should we draw from this game?
I don't want to say anything specific right now, but again, it's most likely a question of discipline. I don't know, but tomorrow we'll get together, figure it out, and move on, no big deal. I'd like to point out that we had a lot of fans today, and that's a great support for us. They're really great, you can hear them, and it's really, really great that they follow us everywhere. We'll be happy to see them always.
