Neftekhimik have signed forward Nail Yakupov

Nail Yakupov (10/06/1993, 180/89, Sh:L, Pos:RW/LW).
Yakupov, 29, drafted in 2012 round 1 #1 overall by Edmonton Oilers, collected 136 points (62G+74A), 142 penalty minutes (PIM) in 350 contests in the NHL.
Nail, skated in 253 KHL games, posting 70 goals to go along with 135 penalty minutes.
Nail Yakupov started his hockey career in Neftekhimik hockey school.
During NHL 2012-2013 season lockout, Nail joined our team and scored 18 points in 22 contests with Neftekhimik.
Last season the forward was part of the Avangard.

– I was part of the Neftekhimik in the 2012-2013 season, during the NHL lockout. We had a great team, a great morale in the locker room. There are good memories. I know that there is a young and ambitious team. I watched Neftekhimik playoffs games. There was a very interesting series against Ak Bars.
I had offers from different clubs, including Neftekhimik. I made my choice in favor of my native club and city. Here I grew up, learned to play hockey. I decided to go back home. I think this is the best decision!
