Oleg Leontyev: «The guys tried to do their best»

Neftekhimik head coach Oleg Leontyev speaks with the media after a following 0–3 loss against Lada.

– Despite the loss, the guys fought to the very end, created goal-scoring chances. We tried our best, you know, our strength is not endless. We played a good game. We just did not take advantage of goal-scoring opportunities we had. The guys tried to do their best.

– What happened with Zac Leslie’s trade?

– Leslie agreed to be traded. He had an agreement with his previous team to fly home for an indefinite period of time in December due birth of his child. Also, it was not clear when he would return. There was not exact dates. We will have decisive road games during road trip to the Far East for the end of December. Our condition was that he would be on the team and play for us. The player’s side thought and did what they did. We have KHL right for this player.

– What are your plans for the upcoming break in the regular season?

– The most important thing for us now is to have a rest. We will have a few days off. Since July, we have played plenty of games. During this brake we will work hard.
