Postgame comments of head coaches of "Neftekhimik" and "Avangard"

Bob Hartley, the head coach of "Avangard":

- We have a great start; especially we got a power play goal in the first period. That give us lots of confidence. Second period we scored again a few. We got into penalty trouble. Our penalty killing was huge, I think, despite the fact that we scored 6 goals, our penalty killing made the difference in a game. We blocked tons of shots; we kept our focus. There were some weird things going on in the second period. We kept our composure. It is a big win for us.

Vyacheslav Butsayev, the head coach of "Neftekhimik":

- First of all, I would like to congratulate "Avangard" on a victory. Unfortunately, we did not give a New Year present for our fans. I agree with Bob Hartley that they deserved this win.

We played well first 10 minutes and scored 1 goal. "Avangard" was better in each meter of the rink.
