POSTSEASON PRESS CONFERENCE 2021/2022

Igor Larionov, Oleg Leontyev and Vyacheslav Kasatkin submitted the results of the season.

Igor Larionov: 

  – I would like to thank the owners of PJSC «Nizhnekamskneftekhim» and its management, PJSC «SIBUR», the Board of Directors of HC «Neftekhimik» and personally the Chairman of the Board of Directors – Timur Albertovich Shigabutdinov, who helped to solve any problems or questions we faced. Our coaching staff with Oleg Leontyev did a great job. Neftekhimik players also did their best and we appreciate it.

In addition, I would like to thank all the workers, medical staff, equipment Staff, administrators, office workers, all the fans, who supported us throughout the season! If we look at the statistics from the KHL CIB, Neftekhimik is right on the the KHL’s salary cap floor, and have the lowest budget in compare with all 24 KHL clubs, but, if we calculate the cost of the 1 point in the regular season to the team’s salary, then Neftekhimik is ranked 2nd in effectiveness of the clubs work.

In addition, in this season, our social media grown up from 60000 followers to 75000. Also, we will continue hold master classes for young hockey players.

Oleg Leontyev: 

– I am fully agree with Igor Viktorovich Larionov. I would like to thank the management of the club for financial stability throughout the season and all the people who helped us to achieve this success. Our players played hard during this season and did their best. I hope that in the next season we will become stronger and will win more games. We are grateful to our fans for their support, especially in the playoffs. It is the highest award for us.

If we talk about young players …Three or four players from JHC Reaktor or more will join Neftekhimik during training camp. We have our own thoughts about Reaktor players.

Vyacheslav Kasatkin:

– I would like to say words of gratitude to the management of the club. All the problems or questions we faced during this season were solved immediately. Special thanks to our fans for their support and to our players, who battled hard to the very end. Something worked out, something did not. Anyway, we tried to do our best in order to win as much games as possible. We also have 5 players from Neftekhimik hockey school who have great potential and good chance to join Reaktor.
