Press Conference «Dynamo Msk– Neftekhimik» 9/29/2025
29.09.2025

Neftekhimik Head Coach Igor Grishin speaks with the media after a following 3–2 win over Dynamo Msk.
– The last game was a tough one; Torpedo was a bit more physical than us in Nizhny Novgorod. We gave the guys a chance to rest yesterday; the road was tough, and it seemed like the rest gave them extra energy. We moved well, skated well, created chances, and capitalized. But we have also been playing selflessly on defense lately: we support each other, we help the goalie, and the goalie helps the team. We scored our goals and, when necessary, held our ground defensively.
– Did Belozyorov get the award for three blocked shots?
– Belozyorov received the mvp's helmet today. I think it is an award the whole team appreciates—both his goal and his selfless play on defense. That is why the whole team praised his good performance.
– The ending was tense, though. What led to that?
– It is a game. Dynamo attacks, and they have highly skilled players. They were bound to score sooner or later because the pressure was on, there were opportunities, shots were coming. They played well enough to score. The most frustrating thing for us was that we conceded another goal on the very next shift. The most important thing was to calm the guys down so they wouldn't panic. We called a timeout and calmly said: this is the game, no big deal, let's keep playing our game. The guys played through and, where necessary, played selflessly at the end and held their ground.
