Neftekhimik Head Coach Oleg Leontyev speaks with the media after a following 1–2 overtime loss against Barys.
– We had the territorial advantage. We were better in game situations. We created a lot of goal–scoring chances, but did not take advantage of it. We made 41 shots on goal. Sometime such games happen. The opponent played well defensively and blocked 21 shots. Since direct shots were not going in, it meant that the puck had to be rushed to the net. Unfortunately, we conceded the goal in overtime. We knew that the opponent did not want to give up any points. We also had a fighting spirit, but such games happen. We are preparing for the next game.
Barys Head Coach Galym Mambetaliyev:
– We reviewed the last game, tried to play more reliably in defense. But, still, we missed one counterattack. It is good that we won in overtime.
