Neftekhimik head coach Oleg Leontyev speaks with the media after a following 1–3 loss against Torpedo.
– It is hard to comment on games like this one. It seems like we played great in the third, we outshot the opposing team three times. Nevertheless, the result is on the scoreboard. Individual mistakes that we made, led to conceded goals. We did not take advantage of goal–scoring chacnes that we had. The opponent's goaltender kept his game in the game. It is hard to win with only one scored goal, that is why we got this outcome. it is hard to play without players who are injured. I repeat, these are key players, and they would have helped us. The roster we have now also showed a fighting spirit. They fought to the very end, but were a little unlucky. We are preparing for the next game.
Torpedo head coach Igor Larionov:
– Firstly, the opponent played well. We played well defensively and tried to save the game. Fortunately, we managed to win. Congratulations to our team. The guys tried hard and played well. I liked the way we played, team's spirit and discipline. So congratulations to everyone!
