Press conference «Sibir - Neftekhimik».
Oleg Leontiev, the head coach of HC Neftekhimik:- It was interesting, hard-fought game and from the very beginning fast-paced game. Both teams could have won in regular time, as well as in overtime. Unfortunately we were not lucky to get two points. And so on the game everything is very good. I am satisfied with the team's effort. Moreover, our new players fit well.
- Sergei Kuptsov, who has a try-out contract, scored 2 (1+1) points. Is he super motivated?
- Of course, if you get a try-out contract you will try to do your best. This is not a surprise - he has a chance to play in the KHL.
- Before the game, you said that Sibir is a team that do its best to make it not easy to go through the middle zone. Did the team manage to deal with it?
- We knew how to play against Sibir, we analyzed their games. They did not forecheck us in our D-zone and were waiting in the middle zone. We knew that we were going to face this.
- You beat Novosibirsk at home and got one point here. Is it a good outcome?
- The season is long. We will play two more games against Sibir. Everything is tight in the standings. Every point at the end will be a decisive one. It is what it is.
Andrei Martemyanov, the head coach of HC Sibir:
- In the first period, we tired a bit. The opponent played on counterattacks, it was obvious. We blocked their ways from the zone, but conceded an unnecessary goal. In this regard, there are claims to our defensemen. In the last 12-15 games, we didn’t have any 2-on-1 rushes, but today there were three of 2-on-1 rushes in the first period. In the second period, the opponent played better that in the first period. I would like to thank the team for their dedication. We got 2 necessary points.
