The 2025–26 campaign was JHC Spartak MHA’s first in the league. The team closed the regular season in fourth place in the Western Conference’s Silver Division, with 62 points from 62 games, but missed out on the play-in zone.

In the summer of 2026, Konstantin Kasatkin took over as head coach. His coaching career began in 2016 with Loko-76 in the NMHL. In his fifth season there, he guided the Yaroslavl club to an NMHL title and then moved up to the MHL with the team. He later served as head coach of Kapitan and Almaz.

Most of the players who appeared for JHC Spartak MHA in 2025–26 have since joined Spartak’s main youth squad, although movement between the two teams remains possible.

In goal, Yuri Ivanov has established himself as the primary option: he has played 10 games, more than the team’s other four goaltenders combined, and owns a 91.2% save percentage.

Daniil Sanin leads the defense in scoring with 7 points (2 goals, 5 assists) in 16 games. The rest of the defensive corps lag well behind in offensive production.

The forward group has changed substantially, but Ivan Vuychenko, a leader from the previous championship, has stayed. He was JHC Spartak MHA’s third-leading scorer in 2025–26 with 34 points (18 goals, 16 assists) in 56 games. He now tops the team’s scoring again with 12 points (8 goals, 4 assists) in 16 games. Egor Kachalov, with 11 points (7 goals, 4 assists), and Egor Murashev, with 10 points (1 goal, 9 assists), complete the top three forwards.

In the standings, JHC Spartak MHA is faring worse than last season. After 16 games, the team has only 4 wins and 10 points, leaving it second to last – seventh – in the Western Conference’s Silver Division, 8 points outside the play-in zone. JHC Spartak MHA also has the division’s weakest goal differential at present (34 goals scored, 52 conceded).
