Valeriy Guzhov held a symbolic face-off

It has become a tradition at Neftekhimik Hockey Club to honor the club's veterans, who made a solid foundation for the development of hockey in Nizhnekamsk.
One such veteran is Valery Vladimirovich Guzhov, who played for Chaika outside hockey team, who later played for Neftekhimik for 14 seasons (1977 to 1991). After retiring from hockey, Valery remained a devoted fan of his hometown team and attends nearly every Neftekhimik game.Valery Vladimirovich recently turned 65. Yesterday, before the game against HC Sochi, Neftekhimik General Director Igor Larionov met with Valery Vladimirovich and presented him with a personalized retro jersey from our team. This logo worn by the celebrated veteran and his teammates when they played for the Nizhnekamsk club in the late 1970s and 1980s.

Before the game, Valery Vladimirovich took to the ice, warmly greeted all the fans and team captains, and held a symbolic faceoff.
