In honor of the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory, a celebratory hockey game was held on the ice of the Neftekhim Arena. Two teams met in this memorable game: "Neftekhimik Veterans" and "Neftekhim Wolves".
A great atmosphere reigned in the arena all evening. Songs and melodies of the war years were heard during the breaks in the game. The event was not just a sporting event, but a real celebration of the memory of the great feat of our people. The 5th and 6th sectors were almost completely filled with fans who came not only to watch hockey, but also to pay tribute to the heroes of the Great Patriotic War.

– This is the 15th time we have held a match dedicated to the Great Victory Day. This is a good tradition that reminds us of the heroism of our fathers and grandfathers during the Great Patriotic War, – said Neftekhimik Director General, goaltender of the team "Veterans of Neftekhimik" I.V. Larionov before the start of the game. Advisor to the head of the Nizhnekamsk municipal district G.L. Kitanov addressed the audience with a welcoming speech.



The game was bright and productive. The teams showed a real sporting spirit. The regulation time ended in a draw – 6:6. The Neftekhim Wolves won in the shootout series. However, the main winner was the holiday itself – a holiday of memory and respect for those who gave us a peaceful life.


This game became an important event in the series of events dedicated to the celebration of Victory Day. It once again emphasized the inseparable connection between sports and patriotism, showed how important it is to remember and honor the feat of our fathers, grandfathers and great–grandfathers.


The Neftekhimik hockey club continues the glorious tradition of holding the Victory Game, preserving the memory of the great feat of our people and instilling patriotism in the younger generation.
