Young players from the Neftekhimik Hockey School participated in the release of sterlet fry into the Kama River
03.07.2026

The millionth sterlet fry was released into the waters of the Kama River, that was a good reason for a large environmental festival that was held on the Nizhnekamsk embankment.
The ceremonial event was attended by the Head of Nizhnekamsk Municipal District Radmir Belyayev, the General Director of «Nizhnekamskneftekhim» Marat Falyakhov, representatives of environmental agencies and scientific communities, as well as SIBUR employees and residents of Nizhnekamsk.

The guests of the environmental festival were our little Wolves – the young Neftekhimik Hockey School's players born in 2019.

At the initiative of «Nizhnekamskneftekhim» (part of SIBUR), a large vehicle arrived in the city, bringing 200 thousand fry of the rare fish from Kostroma. The campaign is being held for the fifth year in a row. All guests of the festival were able to see the very millionth sterlet fry that has made its home in our Kama; it greeted everyone involved from a special aquarium. They say this fry is like a goldfish and can grant wishes. Our boys, of course, wished to score more goals and bring victories to their team!
