Artyom Serikov: «It was a bit unusual for me to play against Khimik»

Artyom Serikov speaks with the Neftekhimik media after a following 2–3 loss against Lada.

– We had an advantage in the first period. Unfortunately, the puck did not cross the Khimik goal line.

– We will take into account that this is summer hockey. In the first period, we really had a lot of chances. The opponent's goaltender played great, we did not take advantage of our goal-scoring chances.

– The broadcast man spoke great of you. He said that you was as one of the leaders of the Khimik last season and a defenseman who makes a lot of shots on goal. What kind of role did Oleg Leontyev assign to you in Neftekhimik? How is your adjustment to the team?

– It is still difficult to say what role Oleg Leontyev will assign me to, and, probably, it is too early to talk about it. There is a training process; we are working on different schemes. I made friends here we have a good team. Everything is fine!

– It was first game against your former team. How was it?

– It was a bit unusual for me to play against Khimik. I wanted to play in the best possible way.

– What are the good things from this game for our team?

– We had plenty of goal-scoring chances and played well on counterattacks. Unfortunately, we failed in some way in our D-zone. We will work on it.
