Neftekhimik defenseman Fyodor Kroshchinsky speaks with the media after a following 1–3 loss against Severstal.
– We're not happy with the results we've been showing in recent days, in recent games. We haven't been able to score more than our opponents. We need to work and improve, because the playoffs are coming up and we need to get back on track.– We played a pretty good first period, but we fell a bit flat in the second. What was the reason?
– We came out for the first period fired up, ready for our opponent's fast, aggressive play. Despite the score, it was a close game. And in the second period, Severstal wouldn't say they improved or changed their tactics. Our opponents continued to play their style of hockey, allowing us to create chances. We lacked finishing, composure, and good puck control.
– We haven't won in Cherepovets in six years. Severstal has become an unstoppable force for us, a difficult opponent...
– All teams are difficult. It's not like any one team is particularly difficult. The guys tried their best, but perhaps we all need to think about our game and get out of this together. This is the only way for us!
