Ilya Khokhlov: «We lost due to mistakes we made»

Neftekhimik defenseman Ilya Khokhlov speaks with the media after a following 1–4 loss against Traktor.

– I think that we lost due to mistakes we made. We had a bad start. After that, we tried to play well defensively. We had goal-scoring chances, we did not take advantage of it.

– Do you agree that 5-on-3 power play was a key moment of the game?

– Sure, this is important part of the game. We did not use it. We will work on it. We really need to get points in upcoming game against Lada.

– What is the difference between this game and the game at home against Traktor?

– As it says, during home games, family and fans are an extra player on the ice.

– What do the team have this losing streak?

– We did not take advantage of goal–scoring chances we had. We need to work on it.
