Metallurg Magnitogorsk 8–3 Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk (2-1, 1-1, 5-1).

After 19 seconds of the first, Metallurg Mg took the lead. Midway through the first, Metallurg Mg doubled its lead. Neftekhimik forward Nikita Setdikov got one back before the intermission.

Two minutes after beginning of the second, Nail Yakupov tied it up on a 5-on-3 power play.

In the third period, Metallurg Mg scored a go-ahead goal and after that, regained its two-goal advantage.

Our team did not give up and tried to do its best in order to tie the game up. Nikita Khlystov made it 3–4 after a laser blast from the blue line. Unfortunately, that was not enough to get any points. Later in the third, our team conceded 4 unanswered goals in 11 minutes.
