Oleg Leontyev: «I would like to say thank you to our fans»

Neftekhimik Head Coach Oleg Leontyev speaks with the media after a following 5–6 loss against Traktor.
– The key moment of the game is 5–3 score, when our experienced defenseman made a huge mistake. There have already been three of these mistakes this season – we paid attention to this and said that we need to play simpler. Traktor got a chance and took advantage of it. At the end of the game, the shot had to be blocked, but the same player could not block this shot. As a result, the opposing team tied the game up.We fought great the whole game. It was great game. Almost everyone worked at 5 plus, we gave the fight to the opponent who had rested for 4 days and was fresh enough. That is why they started to play a high–paced hockey. We managed to coop with the way they played. I would like to say thank you to our fans, I hope that they enjoyed the game. In shootouts, the guys on the opposing team had a little more skill.
– From a tournament point of view, the main rivals lost in regular time, Neftekhimik got one point. For the second game in a row, it was not possible to keep a two-goal advantage. In your opinion, are these just individual mistakes or are there other problems?
– I belive that you do not need to keep the score, you need to play your own game. It is always better to score more goals. It all depends on what kind of fighters you have.
Alexei Zavarukhin, the head coach of HC Traktor :
– It was a great game for the spectators; there were a lot of goals scored. For a coache it is a nervous game. It seems like there was no holiday in Nizhnekamsk today, we usually come here on holidays and give you gifts. Today we decided not to give any gifts and we took 2 points. But we made a lot of individual mistakes. It is good that the guys did not give up and got 2 important points for us.
