Oleg Leontyev: «We had good goal–scoring chances»

Neftekhimik head coach Oleg Leontyev speaks with the media after a following 1–4 loss against Traktor.

– The opponent played well. Traktor scored a quick goal. Throughout this game, we had good goal–scoring chances. Unfortunately, we did not score and that is why we scored only one goal.

– Perhaps the key moment was Neftekhimik’s 5-on-3 power play. Why there is a power play problem?

– Until a certain games of the season, our power play did a good job. After that, we did not find much success. We need to work on it, move the puck faster and make shots.

– The roster for today’s game included only one player who is over 30 years old and 7 players who were born in the 21st century.

– At the beginning of the season we had older guys. We are building our team for the future. Our youngster have to try KHL level, like today’s hard battle against Traktor. It should be done in order to raise the level they play faster and become experienced players.
