Press conference «Neftekhimik – Traktor»
Oleg Leontyev, the head coach of HC Neftekhimik:– The guys sacrificed their bodies and played a good hockey. It is good that the guys tied the game up and turn the game into overtime. We could have scored, but a dirty hit, elbowing, was uncalled. Our player was lying down on the ice, perhaps, he got a fracture. It is obvious, that they the opponent took advantage of 5 on 4 opportunity.
I am sure that this moment will motivate our team more to get a win. We will prepare for the next game. We do not have such kind of roster depth, so those players who played today will play in the next game. I am sure that we still have enough power to get our first win.
I want to thank the fans. We've had great support today. The stands charged us. We feel and hear their support. Thank you for such great support!
– Neftekhimik played in offensive zone and few moments later in D-zone. What is the reason for this unstable play?
– You cannot play only in offensive zone, there is not enough strength to do it . Therefore, there was kind of hybrid hockey. We in offensive zone when it is neccesery to do it. When there is no need to play in offensive zone - we keep the middle zone. Therefore, everything is according to game plan.
Anvar Gatiyatulin, the head coach of HC Traktor:
– It was difficult game and the whole series. From the first to the last second both teams struggled. The guys stuck to the game plan. We play hard in our D-zone. We create goal-scoring chances and as an outcome we get victories. Once again, I would like to thank our team for their dedication. Also, I would like to thank our fans who support us here.
