Neftekhimik Head Coach Igor Grishin speaks with the media after a following 3–0 win over Sibir.
– There is not much to add here. I really enjoyed the way the team played. We had a great mindset, we played some good hockey and defended well and scored our goals.– Would you say the team won thanks to its movement?
– Yes, I believe we won because of superior movement; we were a step ahead of the opponent for practically the entire game – perhaps with the exception of the penalty kill.
– Did Anton Krasotkin pose a challenge for you today?
– He actually made quite a few big saves. Hats off to him, of course. There were moments when Filipp made some great saves, too. The goalies did a great job today.
– German Tochilkin took eight shots on goal today. Did sitting out the previous game have an effect on him?
– You know, thank goodness everyone is healthy. We try to get everyone involved. We rotate the lineup so the guys don’t get stale.
– Today you played against Evgeny Kuznetsov – a player who almost joined your team this summer. Watching him play, did you feel it might be for the best that he didn’t end up with you?
– Honestly, I focus more on my own team. I remember he won the opening faceoff. I also remember him falling and getting injured during a faceoff.
