The Moscow team struck first, and the first intermission arrived with the score at 0–1.The second period also started with a goal forSpartak MHA, yet Alexander Panov answered just 21 seconds later. Spartak scored again a little more than five minutes after that – and the pattern repeated: Panov replied 22 seconds later, cutting Reaktor’s trailling to one goal. After that Amir Gizyatov tied the game up.
The drama came late in the third period. Ilya Volgin put the Nizhnekamsk side in front with seven minutes remaining, but the visitors hit back quickly to tie the game. At 59:00, the visitors scored the winner.
